Cyvex Nutrition has developed AvoFlex, ASU (avocado/soy un­saponifiables), a natural ingredient that, according to the company, reduces inflammation and other symptoms of osteoarthritis. Avo­Flex is being offered as a plant alternative to chondroitin sulfate. Clinical studies have concluded that ASU addresses inflammatory conditions due to osteo­arthritis by inhibiting interleukin-1 and by stimulating the production of collagen within the articular chondrocytes.
